Can significant sand accumulation happen in the stomach as opposed to the intestines?

It seems to me the answer should be 'no' but I have run into several individuals that believe sand will accumulate in the stomach.

Thank you

Hello Diana,
I don't remember hearing of a sand impacted stomach.
