I have posted previously about my mare who went into Kidney Failure, who subsequently over the years has been susceptible to Thumps. This is bloodwork before they put her under to lance a pigeon fever abscess. I'm curious if there is anything in these stats that would point to any kind of imbalance that would predispose her to Thumps? She also doesn't drink as much when traveling, doesn't like to drink on the trail, etc. plus lack of conditioning could have everything to do with her Thumps. However, I'm just curious if there is anything metabolically going on that would contribute to it?

Hello Laurie,
No all of that looks very normal. Was this panel taken during an episode of thumps? Under what circumstances does your horse have thumps? If there is more information some where else on your horses thumps it would be good to post this under that discussion so that we have all the history.

No, no thumps. Just the pigeon fever abscess. I will put the blood panel over under the thumps discussion as well.
