I have a very well grown warmblood/TB X who is about 10 mo. I have limited his concentrates to keep his growth steady and try to reduce the chances of OCD. He is about 15.0 h at this point. His activity is normal, no problems with exercise. His forage is grass with only 20%-50% alfalfa and pasture grass when we have it. My concern is.....he looks like he has a heave line along his lat/ventral abdomen like an older horse would have from COPD! He has no clinical signs, no cough. Is there a developmental thing they get at this age that I have previously missed on other babies???

Thanks

Hello Mandy,
With having heaves there is no heave line. I think you are looking at the horses normal conformation and if you can get a picture of this I would be glad to comment.
