HI all. My Nabors has a honeysuckle bush hanging over the fence where I plan to let horses to graze. But I'm not sure if they would be interested on chewing on it. So far we being hand grazing them and nobody till yesterday were trying to nibble on it. One of our horses was pay some attention to this bush but I stopped her, not sure if it will do any harm. Does anybody know anything about it? I checked the articles no info on honeysuckle.
Thank you all in advance.

Hello Natalya,
There are many species of honeysuckle and I am sure there are no studies done on all the species. It is thought that some of the berries may be mildly toxic however I do not know of any reports of horses poisoned by honeysuckle and in our area most pastures with woods have what I can only describe as the common wild (white and light yellow very fragrant flowers) forms of it.

Hi there Natalya,

May I ask what part of New Mexico you are in? I am in the Northwest corner of the state, close to Farmington.
