She is limping and is since 10 days. My vet says radial nerve damage and it takes time for the nerves to reach each other again. How long will it take what can I do will physical therapy help? She rests a lot and mostly is with her mother eats and sleeps. Please advise.

Hello Claudia,
How long it takes a damaged nerve to repair will depend on how badly it is damaged and in some cases the damage can be so severe that it never repairs. In general the outside time would be 6 months with the prognosis worsening after that time. As to physical therapy this would depend a lot on the location and the nature of the injury and for your specific case best advised by your vet.

In general the initial therapy for any damaged tissue is designed to relieve inflammation (rest, cold and NSAID's) this would be followed by attempts to stimulate circulation (warmth and if advised by your vet controlled exercise).
