Hello Dr. O

We found a horse on a rubbish dump and he has a tumor in his eye, although I feel that may be he has to be put to sleep, I really would like your opinion on this.

Also some time ago we spoke about writing a letter to the president here in Cozumel to try and bring into force a law proposal against cruelty to animals so I urge any of you who would like to help with this to write to my private address, I will print the letter and forward it to the president and the people in charge.

Thanking you in advance

Bless your heart, Liliana. You are doing a good thing there in Cozumel. I hope the horse will recover with good care and feeding, and have a good life with you or someone you can find to adopt him.

Welcome back Lilianna,
Concerning the horse above I cannot tell from the photo if I am looking at inflammatory change (from trauma or infection) or neoplasia (cancer). Certainly squamous cell carcinoma (SSC) would look this and either way, at least from the one image that I can see, it should be removed. SSC has metastasized up the optic nerve and involved the brain when not removed in a timely fashion.

I know you have been having access problems for the last month and that Lisa has written you many emails that you did not seem to be receiving. Yesterday she had the "administration site" send you your id information which is different than an email from Horseadvice itself. Now that you have successfully got back on we were wondering did you receive any of our earlier emails and if not is your ISP blocking our emails?
