Does the following look like some kind of scratching or skin condition? He is sensitive to some sprays but I haven't put any on since I realized, and I don't know how he would scratch under his jaw like that. He has some on his face too. They weren't there yesterday but today it's thick peels.

He's also been rubbing his tail a bunch and has a small yellow cruddy cut along the sides where the hair grows (forgot to take a pic). One of his vets said it was allergies and to put baby oil under his tail --? it's not helping.

cd: It's hard to tell what is going on. Can you get a picture outside, in the daylight? Do you have baby oil on in the picture? If so, wash it off. It's hard to see around the shine. If it's allergies, there is better stuff to use than baby oil. Have you gone to Equine Diseases>Skin Diseases and read through everything there? Has he been turned out on pasture?
