Thanks to the information of this site a Haflinger in Normandy from a friend of mine got dexamethasone from the local vet. She asked for this after I send her the information from this invaluable site.
The Haflinger feels much better and sends her thanks.

Jos, thank you so much for letting us know. Be sure she gets the article on steroid use in horses and her vet involved in the treatment so that proper dosages and use can be monitored.
