I had my horses stifles blistered a week ago. The UFP had been an ongoing issue after an injury to his right stifle last year (at that time he had a complete workup and even had a recheck w/xrays in Feb). My vet recommended the internal blistering now at this point. I had done my own research and was prepared with most of the questions-but I was not clear on how soon I would see the positive changes. I understood that initially my horse would be sore and that I was to exercise him everyday. The next day after the blistering he seemed better-no UFP. He was just sore-but evenly sore. It will be a week tomorrow and he is not as sore and has had some very nice trot work off and on during my rides but I have not been able to find any info on what to expect and how long to wait and see if it worked or not? I would appreciate any input. Thank you.

Hello Wendy,
There is a lot variability on soreness with blistering we have had some members report it took up to 6 weeks to loose the soreness and fixation. Run a search on "stifle blister" and you can read their accounts
