Scenario: 8 yo Paint gelding rode hard Tuesday, Wednesday owner noticed moderate swelling on cranial area of the dorsal aspect of neck. (Dr O hope I'm getting this right.) I suspect it is a strain as he was riding with unfamiliar horses without any of his buddies. Owner said horse held his head high the entire ride. No heat in area, swelling is on both side. Thank you. Leilani,
I am uncertain about the location or even what the swelling might be. If you could post a photo I would be glad to try to id it.
