Discussion on Lymphoma; Multicentric or Cutaneous?

Dear Dr. Oglesby,
I found your article very informative. I do, however, have a question regarding diagnosis. Since my horse has been diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer, are there any tests that can be done to determine whether the cancer is Multicentric or Cutaneous? Based on the clinical signs given, I still am not sure. He still has a partial winter coat (I live in the Northeast U.S.) and we are having an unusually warm spring, so he is always sweating. As I was lightly working him (walk/trot) he coughed several times. I wish I could know if the cancer is worse than just the couple skin tumors found, or if I'm just paranoid.

I am afraid just those given in the article. I think your concerns are real but if no evidence of other organ involvement can be found you will just have to wait I am afraid.

Thank you Dr. O!
I really appreciate all of your advise. I am starting the Dexamethasone treatments this week, and it will go on for 5-6 wks. I will let you know how things go.
