Dear Dr. "O",

Excellent article - I am surprised, but also NOT surprised, that the drug companies don't tell you that the vaccination protection may last 3 years. Do I assume that the best course of action after an initial vaccination and first yearly booster - is to blood test for immunity levels and then only re-vaccinate if the titers fall, or should your stallion be vaccinated every year just on general principles (note: we have ONLY bred AI with our colt) ?
Is it recommended then to also blood test your mares each year for their levels (after either natural exposure or vaccination), in case any immunity has worn off?
