Hi Dr O,
My horse had a very bad corinet band injury about a month ago. I got some Trimethoprim 160 mg and Sulfamethoxazole 800 mg Tablets; , generic; (Rx) from my vet. However I did not use them as I prefer not too unless the wound was infected. The wound is healing nicely, however very slowly. No infection. My vet did not give me the dosage instructions. I thought I would ask you in case I ever need them and put them with the bottle. For emergencys. I did not quiet get the dosage instructions as it was in Kilos. Last time I used them was over a year ago and that was I think 8 tablets twice a day. Is that correct? He is about 900 pounds. Thanks in advance.

Hello Katrina,
A little underdosage for an adult. I have updated the article to make calculating dosages easier, see if you can figure it out now.

Thank you so much Dr O, Much appreciated.
I guess its more like 10 tablets at 800mg/160 unless my calculating is wrong.
thank you so much
