Hello: My 2 year old mare just came down with her first case of hives ever about 3 months ago. At the end of November, she coliced for the first and then 4 days later she broke out in hives. My vet did a spot test by pulling her blood. Results say she is allergic to every grass except Orchard and Rye. She is allergic to masquito's which I've seen on her. I adjusted her feed and keep her sprayed with repellents. Hives almost clear up and then break out like a 4 day cycle. I am going to try Trihist. I've even changed her bedding, nothing works. What do you make of this and is Trihist the way to go? oh, and she has had Dex shot and powder. They come right back a few days later.

Any advise you have on this situation would help a bunch. My vet wanted to give her shots every day for 6 to 9 months. I think it would ruin her and make her mean. Please help!
