iam new and am not sure Iam at the right place to ask ? but cant find anything on my problem my mare 2 yrs lifts her tail and squats like she has to urinate but nothing happen ive noticed this happening more lately sometime small amounts of urination will come out thanks elaine

Sounds like she's in season. Has long and often has this been happening?

Hi Elaine,

I would second Karen's thought. I would imagine she is in heat. Some are very showy when in heat and will lift their tails, "wink" and squat. It shouldn't be happening for days on end however.
