Hi!
I bought a foal predictor kit through my veterinarian. It tests the calcium in the mares
milk. It was $40.00 and has 20 tests. It worked great for me. Once the milk gets to or over a certain amount (200 "somethings")there was a 54% chance of her foaling in the next 24 hours, an 84% chance of her foaling in the next 48 hours and a 98% chance of her foaling in the next 72 hours. My mares calcium reached the 200 mark Saturday morning and she foaled Sunday at 11:30 PM. If the level was under the 200 mark than it was a 98% chance she wouldn't have in the next 24 hours. I have one more mare to foal and plan on using it for her.
Good luck!

Hello Julie,
We have information on using these kits at: Equine Reproduction: Breeding and Foaling: Normal Birth (Parturition). I have put the company names and cities where they are located in the article so they can be located through long distance information.
