Hi all, advice needed here badly. I am a stickler for saddle fit and generally buy a new custom made saddle for any new horse I buy. I bought a new guy 2 weeks ago and have had the saddle man out and he has measured him up and now I must wait. But he said that a saddle that I have is a good enough fit ( we tried on 5 of them) to work him in in the meantime. I have been riding him in it for 2 weeks but he is only broken a month and I am worried as he is hollow in the trot and does not feel free across his back to me. The saddle appears to fit well and I have a lambswool pad underneath but when I took the saddle off today there was a circular rub of disturbed hair on the left hand side, mid seat postion right below the spine about the size of a tennis ball. Would this mean that the saddle is bridging? and why only one side? Is there anything else I can do to make him more comfortable as the new saddle has an 8 week wait time. Thanks Catherine
