I was wondering if anyone had experience with fitting one saddle to two horses of different builds. I have a QH who needs a wide tree and an appendix who is more narrow. He is out of shape, so I am assuming he will thicken up when (if) he gets more fit.
I spoke with a saddle fitter and she said to get a wide tree saddle and use more pads for the appendix. I also saw that mentioned in the article here related to fitting saddles. I would rather not get a Wintec, as I sometimes show. Currently, I have a Pessoa A/O wide tree and am thinking of changing to a deeper seated all-purpose. Just thought I would pick everyone's brain here. Thanks! -Gwen

English or Western? (I assume Western?) I would not "pad" to fit. You are only asking for trouble. No-Back-No-Horse!
