Does anyone have any experience with a Wotan Stubben?
I have one I am going to try on my mare tomorrow.
I would still consider myself a beginner jumper so I don't require a top of the line saddle but I don't want to buy something that isn't suitable either.
Is this model jumping/polo/all purpose.
It is older, well used but looked after.
Thank you for your help.

Hello,

I've owned a Wotan for years, and they were my best trainer's favorite all-purpose saddle. I have shown in mine, backed horses in it, trail-ridden, jumped, etc.. It's an all-purpose saddle that will pass for flatwork (I showed first level in it), and is good for reasonable height fences. Mine has lasted for years, and fit lots of my horses.

But it's what fits the horse and suits you that matters. Hike up your stirrups and hand gallop-- if it feels safe and balanced, then maybe it'll work for you too!

Good luck.
