Do any of you own a Crest Ridge Saddle? I read about them on a gaited web site. I'm looking at the Rose Pattern Elite Guffey. Their website is www.crestridgesaddlery.com The saddle weighs around 30 lbs or so, which is about all I can handle by myself. I was wondering about quality and comfort. Please advise. Thanks

I took a look at their website since I have a friend who is having a devil of a time fitting her TWH with a saddle. She's tried Tucker and others known to fit TWHs pretty well and this weekend was trying out a Circle Y flex tree (uh oh, they really don't like flex trees on the Crest Ridge site!) made for a gaited horse.

Other than the fact that they need an editor to clean up their text (sloppy!), the content interested me enough to pass it on to my friend. Let us know if you go with one of these. I have not heard of them before.

Hi Vicki,

I lurk a lot on www.gaitedhorses.net because I am looking for a saddle for my Rocky Mountain Horse. The good thing about that website is that you are allowed to talk about different brands of saddles. On the website for Brenda Imus (https://gaitsofgold.com/new/) you will only learn about her products- however, her 4-beat saddle is also discussed on the first website I mentioned. There are quite a few saddles out there for gaited horses, but without trying them, it is hard to choose.
