Hi,
I am settling a long standing law suite in Ocala however I am in the middle of a move to New mexico and cannot go to Ocala myself. The settlement involves the defendant giving me 6 horses, one a mare in foal. We already rejected one horse upon pre-purchase exam. The defendant has such a strong history of mis-representing the facts that I severely doubt her word that 4 of these horses are even under saddle, although she claims they are.

I am hoping that, for a fee, an HA member would help me out by simply putting these horses through their paces, and giving a broad assessment as to their temperament. Perhaps some-one from the area knows a reliable trainer that could do this for me. The location is on route 27 about 15 miles from Ocala past the HITS showgrounds.

2 horses are reining horses, and have supposedly competed. One mare is a Paso Fino, and the other a gaited Pinto (she's in foal, due April).

Unfortunately time is of the essence, so I don't know if any-one can help.

If any-one can help please call my cell-phone at (928) 274-3203.

Thanx in anticipation.

Hi Barbara,
Thank you SO much...I have spoken to the defendant and she is very amenable to you going to assess the horses.
I have checked my email and found nothing from you. You could try my other email: " equus@cyberverse.com "
However, would you please call as time is so critical. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your help. I do want to compensate you for your time and expertise.
I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. I think the pre-purchase exam is going to be in the next couple of days.
Thanx again, Ilona

Jojo,
Thanx for the response. It seems Barbara can help, however as back-up I would appreciate you forwarding the request.
I will only be able to assess the assessor by telephone conversation. Its a great question. The defendant is so unscrupulous that, in fact, just about anyone else's opinion is more trust-worthy. The defendant has a criminal fraud trial pending in the State of Florida in October. My Fiance will be called as a witness by the DA in that trial. That gives a clue as to the credibility of her word!
