My friend has a yearling filly who has recently started to pin her ears and look like she's going to attack. I had her at my place for a couple days and she wasn't like that at all. She was showing fear and I don't believe she's been handled all that much. Is this change of behavior due to her fear of being in a new environment? There are two other mares and one 2 year old gelding in the paddocks around her.

It is usually dominate horses that pin their ears as if they are going to attack Patricia and the situation of being in paddocks surrounded by bigger horses might be causing her to feel she needs to be aggressive.

Do you think putting her together with the mare and 2 year old gelding would help?
