Discussion on Information about elastic tie up in trailer
Author Message

Hi,

I've recently purchased a trailer and have not had a chance to use it yet... I have a question for all of you who have experience with this...

At the tack store I looked at tie-ups for inside the trailer that are made up of strong elastic... instead of nylon that don't stretch...With the appropriate panic snap on one end and an ordinary snap at the other end... Has anyone had good or bad experience with this kind of tie up...

I'd like to know before I buy them if there are any for or against using this type of equipment?

Thanks

Some people don't like the elastic ties, but they saved my mare from grave injury.
Make sure you put the panic release on the halter, so when it releases it will snap away from the horse.
I like the elastic ones, but you will hear differering opinions on them. Use what you feel comfortable with.

We had a recent discussion on this, you might run a search on "bungee", that should find it pretty easy. Also "trailer" and "tie" should bring lots of stuff up. Be sure to require both words however.
