and I've printed it up to take the barn this weekend so I can do a step-by-step session with my mare, who's been balking horribly at loading in our new trailer. We've bribed her with grain, which works, but it's a quick fix, and she'll only remain on long enough to stuff her face and then she's OUTTA THERE. My goal is to get her to calmly load herself without treats or bribes. She's very proud and hates to be manhandled in any way and at this point is so hypersensitive to any kind of whip that the mere sight of one sends her into a tizzy, so I may have to improvise with something less threatening. She can be wonderfully curious and cooperative as long as she thinks everything is HER idea and lots of fun.

Wish me (us) luck--

Zoe

You don't need luck just technique.
