Hi all, I'm a loyal reader of the site and have learned much. My old donkey has a weeping eye and now swollen a bit at the inside corner. I suspect he rubbed his head on something and poked his eye. Very head sensitive right now. There is the puffiness and a red spot. What meds should I use? thanks

Joann, we recommend you have the veterinarian out to examine the eye, today if possible, and decide the correct medication, we cannot make a good decision without examination of the eye.

okay Dr. O. Thanks. It appears to have worked itself out. I have a mask on him and have used a Tetryclene(?) eye salve. I walked the pastures, the fence, the wood posts, etc. looking for what may have injured him. Nothing but I'm sure he rubbed against "something". Thanks again. Joann
